Hello!
Emily here, extending a warm welcome to the lovely bunch of new followers who are here after reading my Dear Ovaries post that was recently featured on WordPress Discover.
I just wanted to take a minute and tell you a few things about me and my blog, Hold Me, Don’t Hold Me.
I started this blog about a year ago, with intentions of regaling folks with humorous tales of parenting, and making boatloads of money. I will leave it up to the crowd to determine if I have succeeded in telling a funny tale or two, but I can confirm with certainty that the boatloads of money have yet to find my dock, or even leave their original boatyard for that matter.
While this is primarily a parenting blog, I will freely admit I’m not an expert on anything, though I occasionally like to talk like I am. I love engaging with my readers, and will happily discuss just about anything. I feel it’s important to make it very clear that this is a no judgement zone (you can read more about that here), and any kind of nasty talk that attacks anyone (except Donald Trump), won’t be tolerated.
I am currently what the doctors would call, hella pregnant, and may drop off the face of the earth after the arrival of Baby 2.0, but hope to catch back up with all of you after I find my feet again. I have a Facebook page that I tend to post short funny stuff on, so be sure to like it if you want just a tiny bit more humor in your day.
Thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to checking out your blogs. Say hi and leave your blog link in the comments. I’ll try to get through them over then next few weeks, baby pending…
Emily
Hi Emily! I am so happy to have read your blog. Hope all goes well with the delivery of baby 2.0 AND I am sure here are a few moms who will happily guest post while you’re off tending to the new normal.
Read my interactive novel blog during those early morning cuddles and like my Facebook page generally because I could do with all the inspiration I can get.

I’ve recently discovered your blog and always look forward to reading it. I also started blogging a year ago and also haven’t seen the boatloads of $$$ I was just sure I was destined for 😉 We have a very similar dislike as well. Check out http://www.whodriedmyjeans.com and it will be discreetly evident! Also, 9.5 Things My Mother Would Never Do describes me well! Hope you like me as much as I do you!

I believe “hella pregnant” is a technical term – beginning on or about week 36 of pregnancy and lasting until the birth. You know you have reached the “hella pregnant” stage when you are so uncomfortable that you are actually looking forward to going into labor.
Good luck and safe delivery!

You nailed it, my friend. I am indeed looking forward to no longer housing a human in my abdomen. Thanks for your well wishes! 🙂

Thanks for the welcome! I just started blogging, oh a week ago. I am a mom of a almost 2 year old and I think parents with more than one kid are super heroes! I’m treading water over here with one haha! Definitely looking forward to more comedic tales from the trenches of motherhood. If you find yourself bored during a 2am feeding with your new little one here is my blog as well: https://kismetandkate.wordpress.com/
Best wishes on your new chapter!

Your humour draws me in, even though I am happily without child.
We all need a chuckle in our day, so I will add you to my facebook roundup.

You mean I’m not the only happily without child person reading this blog? I wonder what draws us to parent blogs? Schadenfreude? 🙂

To tell you the truth, I sort of stumble on blogs and it’s the writing and personality of the blogger that keep me.
You might be onto something with the Schadenfreude… although, that makes me feel a bit evil. : )

Best of luck with the end of your pregnancy! Enjoy becoming a mother of two. I just started writing about my experiences with my two kids, 3 and 5 now. It is wild and crazy but wonderful.
